Forceplate armor and shields shimmers and seems translucent, as if it were made of glass. The material becomes part force effect similar to bracers of armor. Your armor or shield improved max dexterity by +5, decreases armor check penalty by 5, and has no weight. If it is a tower shield, it loses the -2 penalty to attack rolls. Forceplate armor counts as both its original type of armor and as non-armor whenever beneficial, allowing classes such as the monk for benefit from its effects as long as they are proficient in the original armor's type.

Strong Conjuration; CL 20th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, mage armor; Price: +5.
