What Does This Button Do?

You have a deep seated curiosity that must be addressed.

Effect: When within 30' of a new magic item or piece of technology, you are dazzled and fascinated. Normal methods of breaking fascination still apply, although if immediate threats are dealt with you are fascinated again. This lasts until you have made your best attempts to activate the item or have otherwise figured out what it does and how. You can resist this urge with a Will save (DC 15 + 1/2 your HD), but if you succeed on this save, you take a -2 morale penalty to all rolls for 1 hour or until you willingly investigate the item. You have a -2 on this save if the object that triggers it is especially shiny or gives off an interesting light or sound.

Additionally, if you attempt to activate an item blindly or use a scroll or spell trigger item (such as a wand), you always suffer a mishap if you fail, regardless by how much.

Benefit: Any bonus feat for which you meet the prerequisites.

Special: The morale penalty from this flaw bypasses any immunities. Go ahead and be a sad robot; see if I care.
