Well, they have d12 HD, super-skills, and no souls. Flavor-wise, they simply aren't outsiders. If an Angel looks at a Modron, Demon, or Slaad, they know that they're looking at something akin to themselves: creatures created by gods or having ascended to a similar state. When they look at an entity, they see nothing of the sort. More akin to quantum phenomenon with willpower than a creature. -Hammerhead
