For the purposes of the ''[[Dark Spiral Aura (3.5e Invocation) | Dark Spiral Aura]]'' invocation, any targets killed by this invocation are treated as if they died to your Eldritch Blast; Thus granting you an orb upon death.
The effects of this invocation grow in power as the Warlock does, just as shadows lengthen as the day nears dusk. If the Warlock can cast learns it again as a Least invocations, all effects created by this spell are treated as the equivalent of 2nd level spells. When the Warlock in question can cast learns it again as a Lesser invocationsinvocation, the effective level rises to 4th level equivalent; It rises again to 6th-level equivalent when the Warlock can cast learns it again as a Greater invocationsinvocation, and finally to 8th-level equivalent when the Warlock can use learns it again as a Dark invocationsinvocation. Most, if not all, of the effects created by this invocation are [Darkness] effects, and thus are subject to being countered or dispelled by [Light] effects of appropriate level.
'''Special Note:''' If this invocation was gained via the Extra Invocation feat, then you are forever treated as knowing having learned it as one invocation grade less than you actually know did for the purposes of determining what functions of this invocation you have access to; Thus if you could cast Dark invocations as a Warlock and chose this via that feat, you could never use the ''Ravenous Void'' function of the invocation, as for the purposes of the spell, you only know Least, Lesser and Greater invocations. If you chose this when you could cast Greater invocations, but not darkDark, you would only have access to the Least and Lesser functions of the invocation.
