:I know you're gonna disagree, but I don't see it that way. By and large because it's only 2 points higher than a +5 heavy shield, which you can get well before you get 7+ AC amounts, and reliant on you keeping some high level abjurations aboard. Another comparison would be Force Shield from psionics as a form of high scaling AC. By the time you hit +9 here, you gain +8 from the power (admittedly for only minutes/level). -- Eiji-kun (talk) 07:39, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
:: As you said, the psionic variant takes a turn to activate at the start of combat for less strength at the cost of both resources and a turn on the battlefield (when most combats end within 3-5 rounds). Furthermore, people who actually have a material shield and use them tend to give up a huge advantage in combat--the two-handed weapon, as well as a big chunk of their wealth. Lastly, casters are supposed to be squishier. If someone has around a 14 Dex, this feat alone at higher levels is basically equal to "use casting attribute instead of Dex for AC", and we've said that's basically a VH-level feat. --Ghostwheel (talk) 15:04, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
