Mystic Sage

An oddity amongst a rarity, mystic sages are young oracles who are trained at a young age to fulfill a particular deific event or duty. Since they were training from a young age, they are highly capable spellcasters with access to two mysteries, but have severely deficient martial abilities. A mystic sage is trained to use her insight instead of force of personality to control her powers.

Class: Oracle

Level: 1st-20th

Replaces: BAB, Hit Dice, Mystery (Altered)

Benefit: A mystic sage's base attack bonus is equal to half of her character level and her hit dice is a d6. Additionally a mystic sage gain access to the following class features:

Armor and Weapon Proficiency: Mystic sages are proficient with the club, dagger, quarterstaff, and sling, but not with any type of armor or shield.

Power of Wisdom: A mystic sage uses her Wisdom instead of her Charisma for all of her oracle class features, including spellcasting and revelations (and vise versa).

Cosmic Mystery: A mystic sage chooses two mysteries which she can draw her revelations from. She selects one mystery to be her primary mystery and one to be her secondary mystery. She gains the mystery spells as spells known at their listed level and the mystery spells of her second mystery as if her class level was two levels lower. She gains the mystery skills of both her mysteries.

If her chosen mysteries have overlapping spells at the same level, she instead selects a spell of the same level for her secondary mystery from the sorcerer/wizard spell list. The chosen spell must share a school or a descriptor with the replaced spell.

This ability alters mystery.

Revelations: A mystic sage gains an additional revelation at 5th and 13th level. In addition to her normal selection of revelation, a mystic sage has access to the following revelations:

Apocryphal Revelation: Upon selecting this revelation you gain a single revelation that belongs to any mystery. You count your oracle level as half for the purpose of qualifying for this revelation.

Mystic Barrier (Su): You can create a barrier of invisible mystic energy to protect you from incoming attacks. This barrier grants you a +4 armor bonus to AC, this bonus applies against touch attack made by spells, spell-like and supernatural abilities. At 7th level, and every 4 levels thereafter, this bonus increases by 2. At 13th level, while the barrier is active, you gain a +2 on saving throws against spells, spell-like and supernatural abilities. You can use this barrier for 1 hour per day per oracle level. The duration does not need to be consecutive, but it must be spent in 1-hour increments.

Potent Light Magic (Su): Spells with the [Light] descriptor you cast have their DC increase by 1, and deals an additional 1 point of damage per die rolled.

Sage's Knowledge (Ex): A mystic sage with this revelation add half her class level (minimum 1) to all Knowledge skill checks and may make all Knowledge skill checks untrained.

Final Revelation (Ex): At 20th level the mystic sage gain the final revelation of her primary mystery.
