Hammer and Sickle Style [Fighter]
You are best at this unconventional weapon pairing comrade. Make your enemies see red!Prerequisites: Two-Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (any hammer or sickle)Benefit: You gain several benefits to fighting with any hammer in one hand (such as a warhammer) and a sickle in the other. The benefits scale off hit dice as shown below.
- 1 HD: Your weapon specific feats (such as Weapon Focus) apply to both your hammer and your sickle. In addition both weapons share weapon enhancements when applicable. For example a +4 keen sickle and a +1 flaming frost warhammer strikes as a +4 flaming frost weapon for both attacks, but keen can't function on warhammers so only the sickle attack retains the keen effect.
- 3 HD: You may attack once at your highest attack bonus with both hammer and sickle as a standard action, or when making an attack of opportunity.
- 8 HD: You no longer take attack penalties from two-weapon fighting with hammer and sickles.
- 13 HD: When you make a trip attack with your sickle, you gain a free attack with your hammer. This is in addition to the extra attack if you have Improved Trip. In addition whenever you make a critical threat with your warhammer (regardless if you confirm the critical) you add your sickle damage to the damage total. This is extra damage and not multiplied on a critical hit. Add weapon enhancements, but not your ability modifier (usually Str) to damage.
