1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.
This variant of the bullet is made of harder materials so it does not deform upon hitting a target. While this allows the bullet to easily pierce armors and even sometimes cover, the lack of expansion leads to reduced damage to tissue of soft targets. A ranged attack with a firearm loaded with an armor-piercing bullet ignores 5 points of DR, except DR/- and reduces the target's armor bonus or natural armor bonus by 2 against its attack. If the hardness of the target's armor is greater than the bullet's, then the armor bonus is counted in full.
However armor-piercing bullets are expensive compared to normal bullets and deal damage as if they were fired from a one size category smaller.
The price listed is for a pack of 20. Unlike arrows, it cannot be used as an improvised melee weapon, and is always destroyed when fired.
