A woeful book that was once a holy text, but scribble by Bevektus the Mad has made it into a profaned relic.
A darkly-colored book which once belonged to a holy man, but was corrupted by eldritch notes he scribbled on the side. The once brilliant cover has been darkened by dried blood and the vibrant artwork on the pages has faded and warped into corrupted images. The book has several uses and it sought by many dark art practitioner as a potent way of gaining power. The black testament is a difficult read, requiring a DC 15 Intelligence-based Dark Insight check each hours to successfully progress in reading it.
Those who successfully study the book gain a single point of Dark Insight each hour it is studied, once the full 8 hours required to read the book are spent the reader gain one of two benefit:
- The reader learn a single Dark Insight Incantation of 4th level or lower.
- The reader increase their Mindbreak threshold permanently increase by 2.
