A grotesque experiment from a fanatical underwater cult, these mutated guardians, once human, now act as bodyguards to the equally aberrant but more aesthetically normal "Little Sisters". Care should be taken, for they only have three moods: calm, wary, and murder. They are generally equipped with either a drill or rivet gun as their other job is mineral gathering and maintenance to underwater structures.
Big Daddies make haunting whale-like noises, but do not seem to be able to communicate. Their suit provides for food and breathing for them.
Combat[edit]
By default, the Big Daddy is neutral (if not wary). They will leave you alone, but if you stay too close to their Little Sister they become intensely aggressive and violent in short order.
Deep Water Freedom (Ex): While underwater the Big Daddy benefits from the effect of freedom of movement.
Enrage (Ex): If a Big Daddy witnesses their Little Sister being harmed or killed, they may rage as a barbarian of their level. This grants them +6 Strength, +6 Constitution, -2 AC, and +3 Will saves, or +3 to attack and +4 to damage (due to powerful grip) and 30 hp. It lasts until all known hostiles are dead and 3 rounds beyond.
Environmental Suit (Ex): Big Daddies are fused to their suit, which is a massive diving suit. They are under constant endure elements and are immune to pressure related damage. Their suits carry enough air for them to operate normally for 12 hours, or twice as long if not engaged in vigorous activity. They are also immune to any airborne poisons.
Keen Shot (Ex): Big Daddies may use their Wisdom in place of Dexterity for the purpose of ranged attacks.
Powerful Grip (Ex): Big Daddies have large powerful hands. They may wield two-handed weapons in one hand with no penalty, and gain two-handed benefits (such as for Power Attack and strength and a half damage) to one handed attacks.
Opportune Charge (Ex): If a creature falls prone, is staggered, stunned, or dazed within 30 ft of a Big Daddy they may take an immediate action and attack of opportunity to immediately charge and make a single attack against the triggering opponent.
Overwhelming Charge (Ex): Big Daddies deal twice as much damage as normal on a charge attack and they get a free bull rush attempt. They need not follow the target of the bull rush. If the target encounters an obstruction (such as a wall) they are knocked prone.
Psi-Like Abilities (Ps): At will-my light, stomp (DC 15); 1/day-flash freeze (DC 19), ignition (DC 19), stunning shock (DC 19). ML 10, the saving throw is Wisdom based.
Skills: Big Daddies have a +10 racial bonus on Craft, Knowledge Dungeoneering, and Knowledge Engineering, and may use them untrained. They also have a +8 bonus to Intimidation, and may use Strength on the Intimidation skill.
