Artifice Assistant
Conjuration cantrip
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: 1 minute
Casters: Artificer
Using artisan's tools, you create a tiny construct (the form is up to you). The construct has an AC of 10, has 1 hit point and a walking, swimming, or flying (hover) speed (your choice) of 30 feet. The construct will follow your mental commands up to the duration of the spell and then will return to you. If unable to return to you, it moves more than 30 feet from you, or you create another artifice assistant it falls to pieces and is unmade.
You can use a bonus action to mentally command the assistant. You may command the assistant to move up to its speed and one of the following: manipulate an object, open an unlocked door or container, stow or retrieve an item from an open container, or pour the contents out of a vial. If not given a command, it will use the dodge action and move to stay within 30 feet of you.
The assistant can’t attack, activate magic items, or carry more than 10 pounds.

Author's Notes[edit]
- This is greatly based upon the mage hand spell. It is limited by a single form of movement and ability to be attacked. It is enhanced by being able to be controlled by a bonus action instead of an action. It is also limited to the Artificer class.
