Archeotech Collector
A mild remake of the Construct Collector, the archeotech collector is designed to be compatible with a wide array of archetypes. The archeotech collector gathers energy by harvesting destroyed constructs and timeworn technological devices and has an inherent knack for technology. They learn to power ancient devices using their own mental powers.
Class: Occultist
Level: 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 15th
Replaces: Magic Item Skill, Object Reading, Focus Power (3rd, 9th, 15th)
Benefit: An archeotech collector gain the following class features:
Technical Expertise (Ex): A 2nd level archeotech collector gain half her class level as a bonus on Knowledge (Engineering) check and the Technologist feat as a bonus feat. A tech scavenger can also create batteries without a production lab
This ability replaces magic item skill for the base occultist, or battle skill for the battle host occultist.
Technomancy (Su): Whenever an archeotech collector of 2nd level may spend 1 point of her mental focus, either generic or from any of her implements, to use 1 charge fewer than normal when using a technological item (minimum 0), as long as the item has enough charges remaining to be used at least once. Additionally an archeotech collector can spend 1 point of mental focus as above to power a non-weapon non-charge device for 24 hours.
This ability replaces object reading for the base occultist, or battle reading for the battle host occultist.
Archeotech Focus (Su): At 3rd level, the archeotech collector gains the ArcheotechFocus ability. This ability functions as Construct Collector's Constructed Focus, except as follow. The archeotech collector is not limited to destroyed constructs as a source of mental focus. She may harvest important components out of broken machines and other technological devices at the GM’s discretion. Additionally, an archeotech collector can create her own components by salvaging old components and other broken devices, spending 2 points of mental focus and 1 hour of work. These components behave as components harvested from constructs or technological devices.
This replaces the focus power selected at 3rd level, 9th level, and 15th level.
