Arcane Phantom
A variant of the arcane trickster made to accommodate the phantom thief instead of the base rogue. Instead of advancing sneak attack, an arcane phantom continue to receive increase to her refined education as well as a few bonus rogue talents.
Class: Arcane Trickster
Level: 1st-10th
Replaces: Prerequisites (Altered), Sneak Attack, Impromptu Sneak Attack, Surprise Spell
Benefit: An arcane phantom gain the following class features:
Perquisites: Instead of requiring 2d6 sneak attack, a character must have the Refined Education with at least two skills to enter the arcane phantom.
Arcane Education (Ex): A arcane phantom adds her arcane trickster level to her rogue level to determine the bonus granted by her Refined Education class feature. At 2nd level and each 2 levels thereafter, the arcane phantom chooses an additional skill with refined education.
This ability replaces sneak attack.
Rogue Talent: At 3rd level and 6th level an arcane phantom selects a rogue talent normally available to a phantom thief rogue. She now adds her arcane phantom level to her rogue level to determine which rogue talent she has access to (including advanced talents) and to determine the effect of her rogue talents.
This ability replaces Impromptu Sneak Attack.
Striking Spells (Ex): When an arcane phantom damages a creature denies it Dexterity bonus to AC against her with a spell, that spell deals an additional points of damage per dice rolled.
This ability replaces surprise spells.
