Improved Counterspelling [Spellcasting]
You like to say no more than you say yes.
Benefits: This is a spellcasting feat that scales with the highest-level spell slot you have.
- 1: When readying an action to counterspell, you do not have to choose a target. You may choose to react to any spell cast in your line of sight after you identify it with Spellcraft.
- 3: When counterspelling, you may use a spell of the same school that is one or more spell levels higher than the target spell.
- 5: You get a +3 bonus to dispel checks with dispel magic and greater dispel magic.
- 7: Whenever you successfully counter a spell, you absorb some of the dispelled magical energy. During your next round, you may cast a spell of the same school and spell level as the countered spell without expending a spell slot. This spell is cast at +2 CL.
- 9: You may cast dispel magic and greater dispel magic as an immediate action (counterspell version only).
