Wighthairs[edit]
Wighthairs or haunted fabric is a material with necromantic affinity. It is made of fiber weaved with the hairs of undead, creating a sturdy but haunted material. Finished products made of wighthairs have strange qualities, such as; glowing faintly in the dark, moving slightly even without a breeze, being cold to the touch, or similar quirks. Inherently, wighthairs weapons and armor regain hit points when exposed to negative energy damage.
Few weapons can be made of wighthairs, limited to flexible fabric items like the sap or whip. These weapons deal a point of negative energy damage, which does not heal creatures healed by negative energy and counts as magic for the purpose of striking incorporeal creatures.
Wighthairs can be used to make robes, clothing and fabric armor, and is very lightweight. It reduces weight to a half of its weight and it is one category lighter than normal for purposes of movement and other limitations. Heavy armors are treated as medium, and medium armors are treated as light, but light armors are still treated as light. Spell failure chances for armors made from wighthairs are decreased by 10%, maximum Dexterity bonus is increased by 2, and armor check penalties are lessened by 3 (to a minimum of 0). Finally, armor and clothing made of wighthairs grant a +1 deflection bonus to AC when worn in graveyards, haunted places and areas with strong undead ties.
Wighthairs has 3 hit points per inch of thickness and hardness 0. Weapons and armor made from it are always of masterwork quality; the masterwork cost is included in the prices given below.
