A vitae engineer is more or less a master of animating weapon and various object to aid him on his quest. The ojects they animate possess greater skills and power than animated objects of other mages.

Becoming a Vitae Engineer[edit]

Entry Requirements  
Skills: Craft (Any) 8 ranks, Knowledge (Arcana) 8 ranks, Knowledge (Engineering) 8 ranks. 
Feats: Skill Focus (Knowledge (Engineering)). 
Special: Must be able to use animate objects as a spell, a spell-like or a supernatural ability.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the <-class name->.

Spellcasting: At each level except the 1st, 5th and 10th, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a Vitae Engineer, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

If you do not have a spellcasting class when entering vitae engineer you may instead gain a bonus feat you meet the prerequisite for at 1st, 5th and 10th level.

Animate Objects (Su): At 1st level a Vitae Engineer gain the ability to use animate objects as a supernatural ability at will with a caster level equal to her class level exception it duration is a minute . While very weak it allow her to gain an army of small objects to serve her.

Animated Tool-belt (Su): A 1st level vitae engineer is surrounded by permanently animated tools who can aid her in all her task. She gain a +3 circumstance bonus on all skill checks and may use her intelligence instead of her dexterity when making skill checks. Additionally she is always considered to have necessary tools when making a skill check.

Simple Mind (Ex): A 1st level vitae engineer any animated objects created by a vitae engineer are more 'intelligent'. They are not forced to attack any creature on creation and follow the orders of their master with the cold logic typically associated with construct.

Animated Vigor (Ex): At 2nd level any animated objects created by a vitae engineer gain 5 bonus hit point per class level.

Combative Spirit (Ex): At 3rd level any animated objects created by a vitae engineer have good attack bonus for their racial HDs.

Mending Touch (Su): A 4th level vitae engineer can repair any object she touches as per make whole, she is so proficient at it that she even restore the magical property of a destroyed magic item. She may also heal construct by touch, restoring 10 hit point per class level. Once she heal a construct she may not hela that particular construct again for 1 hour.

Brilliant Engineering (Su): At 5th level any animated objects created by a vitae engineer gain her intelligence to AC.

Tactical Mind (Su): At 6th level any animated objects created by a vitae engineer count as having an intelligence score of 10 plus the vitae engineer's class level when it would be beneficial. While they do not receive skill points it allow the animated objects to behave much more tactically.

Improved Animated Vigor (Su): At 7th level any animated objects created by a vitae engineer gain 10 bonus hit point per class level. This ability replace animated vigor.

Animaniac (Ex): At 8th level a vitae engineer can now animate twice as many objects when she use animate objects.

Animated Companion (Su): At 9th level a vitae engineer can make a single animated objects permanent as a standard action. She may withdraw this ability as a standard action and bestow it on another object as she please, as long as she has only a single permanent object at her service.

Master Animator (Su): At 10th level a vitae engineer base her class ability on her character level rather than her class level.

Soul Transfer (Su): When a 10th level vitae engineer dies she may transfer her soul into one animated object she created as an immediate action. She possess the object as per magic jar except the duration is instantaneous. If the animated object is destroyed or it duration run out you may switch to another animated object as an immediate action, if you are unable you die as normal. The animated object you possess can be used as an optional focus for resurrection you, allowing you to come back without any level loss from death.
