Vestifel[edit]

Vestifel are anthromorphic catfolk with a supreme sense of balance and precision with their every movement. They used to live in the trees of their woodland home, acting as ambush predators until they took civilization down to the surface. Even now, they keep their keen sense of balance and desire to have the high ground.

Personality[edit]

Much like the cats they resemble they are an easily distracted species largely concerned with their own self and territory. This isn't to say they are hostile, in fact, more often than not they have strong bonds to those they consider friends and stick with them to the end. But they do suspect those outside their circle of trust and can be petty and spiteful at times.

Physical Description[edit]

Vestifels are humanoids with cat-like features, always with cat ears and tail, cat slit eyes, and clawed hands. Genetic variations range from nearly hairless like a human to covered entirely in short fur, yet still largely human-shaped. Their canines are elongated compared to a human, and they are obligate carnivores. This has led them to a culture more focused on violence to which they have little issue with. With lithe and thin bodies, they cannot stand a direct fight and take more subtle and agile means of defeating prey and foes alike.

Vestifel come in as many color patterns as cats do, and mottled or splotchy hair patterns are not unheard of.

Relations[edit]

The vestifel is often seen as a troublemaker and untrustworthy, or dishonorable, as their culture grew in strength through the power of ambushes, using others as protection, and bribery. For the vestifel they see no problem with these practices, but these chaotic behaviors can clash with more law-minded sorts.

Alignment[edit]

Often chaotic, as the vestifel lifestyle usually extols the ability to fulfill ones own desires.

Lands[edit]

Vestifel originally hail from forests, but now they have spread to many civilized lands. They tend to like cities, for highrises and other tall buildings bring them a sense of comfort.

Religion[edit]

Vestifel originally worshipped a god of the moon, the night, of subterfuge and trickery. The old gods name is lost, but many similar gods have taken their place.

Language[edit]

Vestifel speak Common and Sylvan.

Names[edit]

Vestifel often go without names until someone gives them a name or nickname, and they choose what they feel is best.
