1,000,000,000:1,000,000,000 vision[edit]

Did you know that the X/Y vision format means "the ability to see letters with dimensions of Y millimeters from X feet away?" Since the angle for looking at an object is the same for any value of X in X/X vision, 1,000,000,000/1,000,000,000 vision is functionally identical to 20/20 vision, aside from the effects of nearsightedness and farsightedness. If you want to view individual neutrons (lol) at a distance, you'd want more like 20/0.00000000000001 vision.

Also, I don't think there's any 1000 foot limit for normal vision in 3.5e. There's just a -1 penalty to spot checks per 10 feet, and some terrains list random distances at which spot checks start, because of obstructions. Are you saying that creatures which normally have superior vision (low-light or darkvision) now have inferior vision because they don't have "light vision"?

This may interest you as well. --Foxwarrior 01:36, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Honestly I did not know that. Thank you!
RE: "1,000,000,000" I just made up some arbitrary number as a general example. I am definitely not an optometrist! lol I had planned on researching it later for purposes of refining my ignorant place-holder number there. Overall, my plan was to make the inferior races to not have "light vision" (with some exceptions), and to keep them subjugated even in sensory perception, for the most part.
And yeah, sorry i was just throwing BS out there. i am not an Opthalmologist by any means. I honestly didn't even know what i was talking about when i put those BS figures in there. Obviously it's nonsense. Yes thank you. I just threw some shit in there and meant to go back and do actual research on that topic later. --ProphetPX (talk) 15:09, 26 February 2017 (MST)
