Pinning shot [Fighter, General]
The archer fired an arrow at the bandit's foot, pinning it in placePrerequisites: Dex or Str 14, Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, must be using a piercing ranged weaponBenefit: You can perform a ranged grapple attempt against an opponent by firing a missile at the target's foot or leg which pins it in place. You must succeed on a ranged attack (not a ranged touch attack) and then win an opposed grapple check (your size modifier and the target's size modifiers still apply). To break free, the victim must make a DC 20 Strength check plus the archer's dexterity or strength modifier(which ever one is higher) as a full action round which provokes attacks of opportunity. The target may also force their foot free but this does the same amount of damage as the initial pinning shot did. After breaking free with either method the target has their movement speed halved until a DC 25 heal check is done or the target heals at least half of the damage that was done by the pinning shot. This move deals damage as usual to the pinned target even if the target is not pinned. Creatures that lack a foot or leg or an equivalent are immune. This feat does not benefit from improved grapple.
Example: A ranger with 16 dexterity fires an arrow at the bandit, they succeed on the check, the bandit must then make a dc 23 strength check to try and break free. Trying to free themselves takes a full action round.Special: A fighter may select Ranged Pin as one of their fighter bonus feats.
