Trainbow[edit]

Trainbow
Price: 30,000 gp
Body Slot: Held
Caster Level: 9th
Aura: Moderate Conjuration
Activation: Standard
Weight: 3 lbs.

This bow has several magical ticker tapes scrolling along its upper and lower halves. They seem to list arrival and departure times for real and fictional places around the cosmos. Around the grip, small puffs of steam sometimes emanate.

The trainbow is a +1 brutal surgeMIC composite longbow (even though the brutal surge enhancement cannot normally be applied to bows) which auto-adjusts to the users strength. This is useful enough, allowing the ability to bull rush from afar and treating the longbow as a two-handed melee weapon. However, 3/day as a standard action you can duplicate the effect of suddenly train, using your character level as its caster level and your Dexterity modifier as your casting modifier. Many are surprised when you fire a train from your bow. Few survive it.

The trainbow has a few other minor effects. If you are the conductor for a planar train spell, you are only thrown 1d10x10 feet off target when shifting planes. The bow also grants a +5 bonus on Knowledge Engineering checks when concerning anything train related.

Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, suddenly train, Knowledge Engineering 5 ranks.
Cost to Create: 15,000 gp, 1200 EXP, 30 days.
