Tholan wasn’t known for anything in particular, but as a student of Academia Magica he was surrounded by mages who were simply extraordinary. So he made this spell in order to tap into compatriots who were more gifted than himself. Replacing their faculties with his own was an unintended but well-received side effect.
When you cast this spell, you designate one other creature and choose one ability score that both of you possess. For the duration of the spell, your respective base values for that ability score are switched for each other. If the creature succeeds on a Fortitude save, their ability score is not replaced by yours (your ability score can still change to theirs, if you wish).
You can only benefit from one casting of this spell at a time. Casting it a second time ends the duration not only for you, but also for the target of the first casting if they were successfully affected.
