Modification Request (Rushes)[edit]

I would like to make it so that if the maneuver type is a rush, link to the rule page for it. Specifically, I'd like to make the following modifications:

  1. Find
    {{{type}}}
  2. Replace with
    {{#ifeq: {{{type|}}} | Rush | [[Rushes_(3.5e_Variant_Rule)]] | {{{type}}}}}
  3. Find
    {{#switch: {{{initiation}}}
  4. Add new line afterwards
    |move                        = 1 move action

-- Havvy (because my signature line isn't showing)

That sounds entirely reasonable. Linking people to non-standard homebrew rules is a good thing. The code on those looks fine as well (though you missed a </pre> at the end that caused your sig fail). Feel free to change over if there aren't any other complaints. - Tarkisflux 17:00, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Modification Request (Fluff, Text)[edit]

I am requesting permission to add |fluff= and |text= to this template, sort of how I made the modification to the 3.5e Spells template. This will allow for all styling data to be stored in one template, so changes may be made quicker. They would have to be optional, and added to the preload too.

Sounds fine. In fact, I think I'm going to give you standing permission for this sort of thing. - Tarkisflux 15:45, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
I actually kind of dislike the idea -- there's more editing power to not having such things (such as the ability to use tables), and it's not any less complex, so why are we trying to do it? Surgo 16:55, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
I agree that I dislike it personally, and will probably never use it. If they're optional they don't actually take any power away from power users though, but they make it easier to standardize formatting / push through changes for those who do use them. See User:Havvy/TOTOM for an example where you can leave all of the extra stuff off and fill it in yourself and the extra stuff doesn't get in the way of formatting. - Tarkisflux 17:25, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
