Talk:War Macuahuitl (3.5e Equipment)

Am I missing something, or is the War Macahuitl simply superior to the Bastard Macahuitl (same proficiency for 1-H and 2-H use, extra damage, both types) with no drawbacks (save for 2 more pounds of weight)?
