What does this have to do with the Thaumaturge? --Ghostwheel (talk) 23:07, 10 July 2017 (MDT)

It doesn't. As I stated at the beginning of the article, it's based off of something else entirely, that the blacklist won't let me link to for some reason. :P
Though, that's a very interesting class. I'll have to give it a good read later. --Zhenra-Khal (talk) 06:34, 11 July 2017 (MDT)

Huh?[edit]

This is hard to read. What is vis? What do these do? I don't get it at all... (Yes, even reading the first part. It all feels too complicated...) --Ghostwheel (talk) 22:59, 11 July 2017 (MDT)

Vis, a word that means "force" or "power", is, in this case, an expression of energy equal to 1/10 a spell level. Basically these are just like the normal wands, rods and staffs, except that, by themselves, they don't do anything - They need a focus in order to be able to cast a spell, and you can change what spell it casts by changing the focus. Using spell levels in Vis form allowed me to express the efficiency (Or lack thereof) of some of the material types.
I suppose I need to go back and clean up and clarify the article in places. Reading back over it, it is messy in places.
I will be attempting to detail some other materials in the future, and if you have any materials you've created that you'd like to see used in this concept, by all means, I'd be glad to have your contribution. --Zhenra-Khal (talk) 08:51, 12 July 2017 (MDT)
