Talk:Supreme Uncanny Dodge (3.5e Feat)
Huge Mess[edit]
Yikes, you really weren't sure what you wanted to do with this one, so you gave it everything. Even thematically dissonant things. DR has nothing to do with dodging, let alone following in the line of Uncanny Dodge. It mostly reads like you wanted the name recognition of Uncanny Dodge. This should really be trimmed up if you ever want to have people use this. This really only needs to be something like "you never lose your uncanny dodge due to situational circumstances" and then that last sentence before the example. People will be able to remember that, write it on their sheets and actually use it effectively when these things come up. --Ganteka Future (talk) 10:10, 10 December 2017 (MST)
- The idea behind this is that even when you can't outright dodge an attack, you can at least shift your body just enough to keep your vitals unharmed, and thus minimize the damage. That's why it grants fortification and damage reduction — you aren't shrugging off attacks so much as you are partially dodging them. --Luigifan18 (talk) 10:25, 10 December 2017 (MST)
- Then there a lot of nonsensical stuff, like moving while prone and getting weird competence bonuses. Let me try to trim the fat:
