Slightly incoherent prerequisite-feature correspondence[edit]

The initiating progression for this class assumes that the character took a level in an initiating class before taking this class, but the prerequisite only lists "capable of initiating 1st level maneuvers", a prerequisite satisfied by the Martial Study feat. The result is it's hard to tell what this is supposed to do - in the ToB this isn't an issue because initiator PrCs just give maneuvers and stances to a character straight up rather than using any basis in a base class. Should something like that be used instead? Or should the class simply require that you actually have, for instance, a recovery mechanic so as to confirm that they have a class to advance? Nah, that happens sometimes. Likewise having an SLA qualifies you for some casting PrCs, but you don't advance them really at all. That kind of thing happens sometimes. --Undead_Knave (talk) 04:47, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
