Talk:Stretch Spell (3.5e Feat)

Wording[edit]

I can't be the only one that finds the wording on this feat to be a bit confusing (as well as omitting some details that would be cleared up with a re-write rather than a tack-on explanation, primarily "permanent" duration effects). It reads a bit like a stretched spell doesn't increase a spell's slot unless it's measured in rounds. That is, spells that are measured in minutes or hours gain no increase (which might be okay, since really, how long is a caster gonna concentrate on that spell, and if he's concentrating for hours, is that really worth boosting a spell's slot?). I think the intention that a spell just has to have a measurable count-down, whether that time is in rounds, 10s of rounds or days or whatever doesn't matter. That "does not scale with level" bit really gets me, especially when the example is "1 round/level". There's some potential here, I just can't figure out what the intent exactly is. --Ganteka Future (talk) 08:29, 19 September 2013 (UTC)

High Level Version[edit]

May I suggest having it boost the level by +1, and +2 for nonscaling 1 round durations? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 01:57, 29 June 2014 (UTC)
