Talk:Songweaver (4e Class)
From Dungeons and Dragons Wiki
You have some of the class skills labled with the incorrect ability modifier. I'm not sure if this was intentional, but normally it's Arcana (Int), Heal (Wis). -- Techpriest88 21:02, March 27, 2010 (UTC)
- It is intentional; the songweaver has a class feature (arcane healer) that makes Heal charisma based, and I've been meaning to do a variant on Arcana that reflect more sorcerous and Songweavery forms of magic (explaining the Arcana as Cha). -- File:SamAutosig.jpg Sam Kay talk contribs email 21:12, March 27, 2010 (UTC)
- I'm still curious about how you'd flavour the modificaton to Arcana. It makes sense (to me) when used in rituals, since that deals as much wish summoning and binding magical forces as any spellcasting. Since it's also a knowledge skill, i'm having trouble seeing it as Charisma based in that role though. A sorcerous person may shape magic through force of will, but i don't see it helping her much when trying to discern the nature of a constuct, for instance... unless she somehow snatches that knowledge from The Weave (or equivalent). Not to discourage you, just my imagination's a bit hung up on that detail. =) -- Techpriest88 22:38, April 12, 2010 (UTC)
- The knowledge bit could still be intel based (most likely), but a sorcerer could use their innate talent to sense magic and its nature ("uhh... guys...I'm sensing some serious magical eminations from this wall...") You could argue (on the knowledge front) that as charisma is a metal score, the magical talent allows for some ability to retain information. -- File:SamAutosig.jpg Sam Kay talk contribs email 20:32, April 13, 2010 (UTC)
This Class is Funny[edit]
Their songs sound so bad, the enemies' brains bleed out through their ears. --Foxwarrior 01:30, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
