Skill Points & Variant Systems[edit]
How many points would you say for a Pathfinder-style skill point application that doesn't get the x4 skill points at first level and instead just does the +3 bonus for ranked class skills? 1 seems like it would be what to do, but that feels weirdly low for getting the Psionic subtype and a couple power points for whatever that is worth. Thoughts? --Ganteka Future (talk) 13:52, 8 March 2019 (MST)
- I would say -1, and you roll randomly on your class skills, losing one of them as a class skill at random, unable to get it as a class skill just from taking a class. If you don't want to roll randomly, the DM chooses for you (you shouldn't be the one to choose). I think that's a good enough penalty, especially if you lose something sweet like Perception. --Ghostwheel (talk) 01:50, 9 March 2019 (MST)
