Talk:Prismatic Edge (3.5e Spell)
Power Issues[edit]
A lot of prismatic spells have probability-based options that vary a lot in strength, but I have to say, the Blue and Indigo effects are mad powerful for a 2nd-level spell. Blue is literally the slow spell and lasts for the same duration as the spell when it can first be obtained (5 rounds, for a level 5 wizard). Indigo with its 5-round confusion is even more extreme. Note that the chance of one of these two options happening is almost 1 in 3.
It would probably be fine if it was a one-off, but you get as many attempts as you can squeeze attacks in several minutes. You could even imbue 50 arrows with prismatic edge and then distribute the arrows throughout a whole line of bowmen to instantly push the enemy's shit in. Too much, broff. --Sulacu (talk) 13:20, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
