Being A Grammar Freak[edit]
I'm just wondering if the name of the spell is supposed to be "Maleficent Poison". It's current name doesn't check out in my spellchecker. - TG Cid 04:35, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

On the one hand, cool effect is cool and flavoursome. On the other, no fucking way this is a 9 - this is a 6, at the very best. |
Target details needed[edit]
The fluff text references a forest, but it's unclear if anything in there was suffering and dying. And that's kind of important, since with a dense enough set of weak targets this can actually reach something like a 27 mile radius over the 24 hour period. And I don't expect that's intentional. - Tarkisflux Talk 21:09, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- That is indeed intentional. Any creatures which die leave hazards for 24 hours. In a dense enough area (forest, city, etc) this can cause a chain reaction of hazardous death zones. That's why this is 9th and not 6th, because it's a city-killer. -- Eiji-kun 21:39, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- You mentioned creatures as the targets in chat, but you don't actually have that word in the spell text here at all. That also means that every animate thing in the area, be it a plant, animal, vermin, humanoid, or whatever creature is an expected target. And since you get a 10' from killing ants, spiders, and flies... I don't see this as getting much below the maximum AoE very often. - Tarkisflux Talk 21:50, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
- Indeed. The spell now uses the term "creatures" to exclude non-statted beings like trees and bacteria. -- Eiji-kun 23:05, 10 September 2012 (UTC)
