You realize that some spells gain a HUGE bonus from caster level checks, right? (Example: Blasphemy, Holy Word, etc.) Also, usually for a +1 caster level, you need to usually pay 30k (orange prism ioun stone). --Ghostwheel (talk) 21:55, 6 December 2016 (UTC)

The Ioun Stone doesn't require proficiency (Which in this case requires item creation feats beyond the first proficiency), and I also meant to add in that to function, the wielder needs a CL of at least equal to 3 times the Implement bonus. Casters hardly needed more nice things as it was (Beyond Bard and such) but this is an idea that's been on my mind for awhile now.
As of current, the bonus on CL doesn't break CL caps on spells and such; I should make it so that it can't increase your CL beyond your HD, like the Practiced Spellcaster feat.
But, the Spell Power enchantments I intend to make - +2 or +3 equivalents each - Would allow the CL of spells of a certain school (Requiring Spell Focus in the school to work) or with a certain descriptor bypass both the HD cap and the normal CL cap; Thus a +3 Ring of Combustion in the hands of a Wizard 7 could allow said wizard to cast an 8-dice Burning Hands. But, the spell has to be of a level equal or lower than the Implement Bonus for it to work (I.e., no 6th-level or higher spells pre-epic).
Finally, I had intended to have synergy enchantments that increase the DC of spells of a certain school/descriptor, under the restrictions I just noted. Zhenra-Khal (talk) 00:32, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
Alrighty, rather than the "no greater than HD" limit, I ruled that the Implement Bonus only affects spells/powers of a level equal to or less than its Implement Bonus. Zhenra-Khal (talk) 01:54, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
