Talk:Invulnerable (3.5e Equipment)

While it a lot better than the SRD version I feel like it still a little too weak for a +3, maybe increase the amount of damage prevented by the armor enhancement bonus (a good reason to invest more in the armor). Also I feel like this should also be placed on a shield, although I understand the problem with stacking even if it is a rather steep investment at low levels. --Leziad (talk) 18:30, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- The only reason I disagree is due to its universal nature. Much like temp hp, it applies on everything. Unlike temp hp or even the homebrew shield special quality this "temp hp" recharges instantly, ending up as DR 5/- that stacks on any pre-existing DR. For the cost of (at cheapest) 16,000g, this seems a good deal without even comparing to the generally overpriced DR/temp hp offered elsewhere. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 20:24, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Perhaps it could have a scaling amount based on the amount of enhancement bonuses applied. Reducing all damage by 5 per +1 enhancement might be a bit much, I suppose, but if it was say 3 per enchancement bonus you could have a +3 enhancement that gave reduced all damage by 9. That doesn't sound too crazy to me and allows it to be a very flexible enhancement, if a bit weak perhaps when you only take a +1 for it. - TG Cid (talk) 21:40, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
- Well I was think 5+ enhancement bonus. So a +5 Invulnerable Armor (+8 total) prevent 10 points of damage, which is same. The way Cid does it aslo seem acceptable. Also I must reiterate my desire to see this apliable on a shield, even if it does not stack with armor. --Leziad (talk) 21:43, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
