Balance[edit]
I think this might fit better as a Moderate-level feat, rather than a High-level one? --Ghostwheel (talk) 13:04, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
- It was originally, but I felt the animal companion optional stuff pushed it over. UBermount builds usually require some specific PrC jumps and the result is strong. I didn't feel that was good for Moderate, but should be fine at High. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 21:39, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
- Do you get both sets of HD and natural armor and Str adjustments on your combat mount pet? - Tarkisflux Talk 22:05, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
- Yes. That's why it's so strong. Typically this is only pulled off via shinanigans with that one Halfling class. I've played them so I feel confident on where their usefulness lands. They become actual dangers rather than being a flankbuddy which sometimes is useful.
- How does it work with unusual mounts? Do you pay the delayed progression with one class or both? - Tarkisflux Talk 00:23, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
- So the feat lets play a boosted griffon or dire tiger with a kind of lame caster companion? ::Amused:: I don't see that as moderate so much, no. - Tarkisflux Talk 02:12, 6 August 2014 (UTC)
