Aside from whether it's good or not for the game, I don't really see the use of a spell that leaves you defenseless for one round before rendering you semi-invincible for the next. A lot can happen in one round, like taking away the need for such a spell completely, or simply getting interrupted and losing it. Frankly it seems like a hassle to use.
Also, while it may work in Core, bear in mind that in a homebrew-heavy campaign bypassing deflection bonuses is pretty damn easy. |

A big pile of numbers does not a good spell make. |

This spell has too much wrong, the paladin is essentially invincible for 1 round in exchange for not acting in the last. I do not think it good for the game, especially since if abused it become catastrophic. |

+60 to all defenses for 3 rounds? really? --NameViolation 02:53, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
- Especially when most combats last 3-5 rounds? That's rogue-level? And then all the ways that other classes can nab paladin spells? --Ghostwheel 03:10, April 6, 2010 (UTC)
