Does this actually do anything?

Surprisingly they are not, though I am uncertain if it was ever specified what action they are or if it's a DM case by case basis. Knowledge takes none, spot is usually a move action if you aren't spotting passively, etc. You can check out the "Instant X" spells in SpC as an example, which this maneuver duplicates. I admit it's typically very circumstantial though.

Amusingly, it does allow swift action Sense Motive. That usually takes a minute. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 22:58, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
