Spelltouched Mutant[edit]

To answer your question... no it doesn't hurt.

Spelltouched Mutants are people who go exposed by tremendous magical energies and as a result were changed. As a result they grow accustomed to magic, gaining additionally mutations as time goes on and eventually they are able to sap magic itself into their body. Spelltouched mutants are a varied bunch, even among themselves they show very different skills and mutations.

Becoming a Spelltouched Mutant[edit]

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Spelltouched Mutant.

Bonus Spelltouched Feat: At each level the spelltouched mutant gain a spelltouched feat she meet the prerequisites of as a bonus feat.

Additionally if the spelltouched mutant choose a spelltouched with an improved version (such as controlled immolation and improved immolation) she gain the improved version as a bonus feat as soon as she meet the HD prerequisite.

Magical Blood (Ex): A spelltouched mutant's nature has been changed by magic, she no longer need to be exposed to specific spells in order to meet the prerequisite of spelltouched feats. Additionally she count as an arcane caster of her level for the purpose of qualifying for prerequisites.

Partial Advancement: Spelltouched mutant levels stack with levels in one other pre-existing class of your choice (determined each time you take a level of spelltouched mutant) for the purpose of determining abilities based off class level. For example, you can advance caster level, initiator level, sneak attack, rages per day, and other abilities. You do not gain new abilities granted by your class (including greater and mighty rage), nor do you learn any new maneuvers known or spells known.

Spelltouched Talent (Su):At 2nd level a spelltouched mutant gain the ability to cast any cantrip on the sorcerer/wizard spell list at will. At character level 6th this ability extend to 1st level spell and at character level 11th to 2nd level spell. However the spell's duration is always 'concentration with maximum of 1 round per level' unless it would be less or instantaneous.

Magic Absorption (Su): At 3rd level a spelltouched mutant gain spell resistance equal to his HD+11. Whenever a spell fail to bypass her spell resistance it is absorbed as twice it spell level in healing. She may suppress or resume her spell resistance as a free action usable outside of her turn.

Additionally a spelltouched mutant may at the beginning of her turn regain a single hit point by reducing the duration of any non-permanent spell effect (such a mage armor or glitterdust) on herself by 1 round. She may even do so when she is not conscious, such as reducing the duration of a sleep spell affecting her.

Arcane Combatant: At 4th level a spelltouched mutant gain the ability to qualify for arcane combat feats as a fighter of her character level, if she already had fighter level she count as an additional 2 level higher for the purpose of qualifying for arcane combat feats. She gain an [arcane combat] feat she meet the prerequisite of as a bonus feat.

Additionally the spelltouched mutant now count as being able to cast any arcane spell for the purpose of meeting prerequisites, allowing them to enter a class requiring the ability to cast haste as a prerequisite or crafting an item that require mage armor. She also count as being able to cast spell as sorcerer of her character level for the purpose of qualifying for prerequisites.
