You don’t provoke attacks of opportunity for attacking an adjacent creature with a [[SRD:Whip|whip]]. Additionally, allies don’t provide soft cover to opponents you attack with a [[Chain Whip (3.5e Equipment)|chain whip]] or [[SRD:Whip|whip]].

''Prehensile Lash{{Su}}:'' You may use your [[Chain Whip (3.5e Equipment)|chain whip]] or [[SRD:Whip|whip]] to manipulate objects, at a range of 5 feet + the reach of your weapon (10' for the [[Chain Whip (3.5e Equipment)|chain whip]] and 15' for the [[SRD:Whip|whip]]). You may use your weapon as a [[SRD:Grappling Hook|grappling hook]], within that range. When doing so, you may attach your whip as a move action and detach it as a free action. If you are falling you may use this ability as an immediate action. You cannot wield weapons with this ability. This maneuver is a supernatural ability.

''Whipping Parry{{Su}}:'' You are adept at catching attacks with your whip, diverting them away. While not using a weapon or shield in your off hand, you gain a +2 shield bonus to AC. This bonus increases by +1 for each 2 points of enhancement your chain whip or whip has (rounded up), to a maximum of +3 with a +5 weapon.
