|rules=You brandish the weapon used in the spell’s casting and make a melee attack with it against one creature within 5 feet of you. On a hit, the target suffers the weapon attack’s normal effects. Additionally, the initial target and each creature of your choice within 5ft of it must make a Dexterity saving throw as electricity lashes at them. On a failure, they suffer Lightning damage equal to your spellcasting ability modifier.
|higherlevels=At 5th level, the initial target, and any other chosen creatures that fail their saving throw against this spell, suffer an additional 1d4 points of Lightning damage. This damage increases to 2d4 at 11th level, and 3d4 at 17th level.
