{{3.5e Feat
|prereqs=Must be capable of casting 2nd level arcane spells.
|fluff=An ancient technique which allowed arcane to fire bolts of arcane residues, very cost efficient and can be extremely deadly if powered.
|benefit=As long as you have a spell of 2nd level or higher available, you may concentrate raw arcane energy into a bolt of blue light as a standard action, which shoots out at a range of 30 ft. The bolt is resolved as a ranged touch attack and deal deals 1d4 + your casting ability score modifier in magic damage. This a supernatural ability but provokes an attack of opportunity and requires somatic components like a spell. Any effects which benefit your spells also benefit arcane bolt bolts if applicable.
As part of using Arcane Bolt, you may expend a spell slot of 1st level or higher. If you do the arcane bolt deal 1d6 2d6 per level of the spell expended + your casting ability score modifier in magic damage and its range improves to 60 ft. If you expend a 3rd level spell or higher it range improves to 120 ft or you may deliver it as a 60-ft line, making an attack against each creature in the line. If you expend a 5th level spell or higher the damage double. If you expend a 7th level slot you may deliver it as a 60-ft cone or a 120-ft line, making an attack against every creature in the area. If you expend a 9th level slot the damage becomes 1d8 per caster level and you may deliver it as a 10-ft wide 240-ft line which lasts 1 round, making an attack against every creature in the area or who enter the area later.
If you are a spontaneous caster you gain an additional spell per day of each level you can cast which may only be used to fuel an arcane bolt.
