Feat Type?
Why is the Ancestral School feat type a dead link? I'm rather interested in creating more disciplines like Night Wind, so it would be enjoyable if it was fixed, or if someone would give me permission to create the page. --[[User:Zhenra-Khal|Zhenra-Khal]] ([[User talk:Zhenra-Khal|talk]]) 19:35, 11 November 2018 (MST)

:Wiki guidelines. Since I was the only one making content for the feat type, it wasn't enough to qualify as a new feat type. I agreed with the determination.

:I don't mind you making more Ancestral Schools, though. I do ask, though, to keep the Ancestral School feat page as-is. If you make enough content, that should be enough to ask for a reconsideration. Two schools and one person don't make for enough justification, but more schools and more people working on it should make the feat type better defining. I'd like to see your ideas, to see if I can help you on understanding the concept, though it's not so hard: for example, Night Wind mixes the aspects of two schools, but deep down, it's mostly cold versions of Desert Wind maneuvers, with some aspects of Shadow Hand. Champion's Might, on the other hand, works with the class features of Paladins (Smite Evil, Turn Undead) and overlaps with other classes (Cleric, Crusader, Blackguard). I'm trying to work with other ancestral schools, though it depends on whether the Muse helps.

:Anyways, I'm glad you're considering the idea. So as long as you don't make any alterations to the Ancestral School page, go wild. You can still use the feat type tag, even if it leads nowhere, as a form of promotion. Do note that the feat tag is meant to represent the feat that "unlocks" the school, so you need to work with the school; I'd ask you to copy the fluff and definition of an ancestral school on the ancestral school page itself, to explain that it's an ancestral school and not a new Martial Discipline. --[[User:T.G.
