With this spell you resize an item, typically a weapon or armor, to your size. Thus you can transform a Small dagger into a Medium dagger, or a Huge shocking greatclub +1 into a Small shocking greatclub+1. The process isn't entirely free. Material components equal to the amount of components needed to grow an item are needed so a Small adamantine dagger requires an amount of adamantine as material component to make up for the cost difference if it were made into a Large dagger. The converse is not true, and shrinking an item produces no raw components. The material is simply consumed. You can also transform normal armor into barding and vice versa, again making up for the cost as needed.
