*You gain a [[SRD:Swim|swim]] speed equal to your land speed as reduced by the armor (see the Armored row in the Speed table, above). You do not apply any [[SRD:Armor Check Penalty|armor check penalty]] to [[SRD:Swim Skill|Swim]] checks. When not using the thrusters, you will sink to the bottom and can walk on the bottom of pools, ponds, rivers, lakes and seas like it is normal ground. You can hustle, but not run underwater. Sufficiently uneven ground will still count as [[SRD:Difficult Terrain|difficult terrain]].
*You may project light as per a [[SRD:Bullseye Lantern|bullseye lantern]] . The diver plate's lights may be turned on and off at will, from a light attached to the helmet right above the visor.
*You gain the effects of [[Powerful Build (3.5e Feat)|Powerful Build]].
*Your gloves are too bulky for operating weapons with mechanical triggers unless they are especially made to be used in conjunction with a diver plate (double base price). However, you can wield [[SRD:One-Handed Weapon|one-handed]] and [[SRD:Two-Handed Weapon|two-handed]] melee weapons without penalties underwater.
