[[Summary::A highly dangerous material embraced by those who like high risk and high reward, vibrolithe is a nearly indestructible metallic substance that always seem to be vibrating in 'tonal frequencies'.]] Vibrolithe is an [[Idylis (3.5e Location)|Idylean]] material, used extremely rarely for its dangerous natures and limitations. Vibrolithe cannot be alloyed at all, given its nature it cannot be combined with another material (through a transmuter forge or with the material composite enhancement).
When shaped into weapons, vibrolithe's potential come to light. A vibrolithe weapon builds ridiculous excesses of kinetic energy. Vibrolithe weapons require exotic weapon proficiency in the specific weapon to use. When used in melee a vibrolithe weapon deals double weapon damage as if it was three size categories larger, and increase the weapon dice by two steps. However however the excess kinetic energy is also released upon the wielder, who always takes . Each attack made with a vibrolithe damage deal half as much the weapon's base damage as he dealt with each of his attacks. This upon the wielder, this damage is typeless and not multiplied on a critical hit. When used on an animated weapon or ranged weapon the effects are not quite as extreme, but without real drawbacks. A ranged or animated vibrolithe weapon deals damage as if it was one size category larger and increases the weapon's damage dice by one step. Vibrolithe is extremely devastating on a critical hit, as it increases a vibrolithe weapon's critical threat and critical hit multiplier by 1. Projectile weapons made of vibrolithe have their range increased by 50%, with its projectile dealing damage as if it was one size category larger, and increases it projectile damage dice by one step (doesn't stack with vibrolithe ammunition), however the excess kinetic energy deals damage to the wielder equal to it's [[strength]] bonus or 10, whichever is higher.
When used to craft an armor or shield, vibrolithe is extremely protective. Vibrolithe armor requires the exotic weapon proficiency of the armor size category (so a vibrolithe full-plate would require heavy exotic armor proficiency). When wearing a vibrolithe set of armor, it reduces all hit point damage by 5+ half base AC bonus granted by the armor or shield before applying other effects such as damage reduction or energy resistance. It works against physical damage as well as energy damage, even force or typeless damage.Sonic damage is an exception, dealing full damage to the wielder. Vibrolithe armor also vibrates magic away from the wearer, granting [[Spell Dampening (3.5e Creature Ability)|spell dampening]] of 2 (light armor or light shield), 3 (medium armor or heavy shield) or 5 (heavy armor or tower shield).
