::With the last edit, I find this appropriate. This is true ability burn, of a sort. The most optimal use I can think of it casting it on something with a long/perma duration, then recovering from the effect.
::Ironically this now makes it dangerous if mixed with metamagick'd scrolls. You could probably slap on a little safety patch and just say magic items with this effect have the user pay for it rather than the crafter.
