Created after the gnomish scientist Agene "Cloudkill" Aurange released a particularly toxic brew after a night of tacos and beans, the breathing mask is a rather intimidating facemask with bulbous shaded eyes and a mouth dominated by two large tubes lined with vents. The mask seals airtight around the head, and filters any air coming in and out of it by scrubbing it through chemically altered fabrics. This provides a +6 alchemical bonus to saves against inhaled poisons, disease, and stinks such as a troglodyte's strenchstench. It also provides protection against grit and dust in the air. Scent cannot be used while the mask is equipped. After 8 hours of exposure to any of the previous effects the mask must be replaced and its filters washed to become potent again.
