:::::Alignment descriptor isn't a balancing method all by itself. At most, it justifies adding 1 extra die of damage/healing/whatever. (Restrictions based on deity, on the other hand...) And... can you center the ''holy hold'' inside an object? I'm pretty sure you can't. And I'm also pretty sure that you need line of effect... I'll have to look at the spell description.
