You create a copy of yourself to take an attack for you. The attack strikes the clone, who has 5 hit points per initiator levels. If the attack destroys the clones it continues, resolving against you as normal but with a -5 penalty to hit. If used against a ranged touch attack, a ray or similar effect the clone always stop the attack even if it destroys it, but has a 50% chance to fail to block it.
