I've always wondered: why the hell does this item (amongst quite a lot of others) cost THAT MUCH? Is there some sort of a potentially powerful use I haven't figured out yet? -HarrowedMind (talk) 02:38, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

While there's plenty of creative things one can do with it, the answer is probably must more simple: WotC doesn't know what its doing. More likely its a holdover from older games, you see the same thing with the Ring of Regeneration which is grossly overpriced to the point where I'm convinced there's an extra 0 on the end. It probably is just converting from 3e or 2e without readjusting price for new usefulness and WBL. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 02:48, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

Thought so, it is really not the only item to suffer from that. I like to base the price of my items based on power, which seems to conflict with WoTC prices quite often. -HarrowedMind (talk) 04:46, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
