As you cast the spell, a bluish mist rises around your target's feet. A split second later, the mist flash-freezes into a block of ice, leaving them frozen up to their knees and immobilized.

This spell, when cast on a creature no bigger than one size category larger than the caster, creates a block of ice around their feet. This immobilizes them, reducing all their speeds to 0 for as long as the ice remains in existence.

The block of ice has hardness 5 (+1 per 2 caster levels, max hardness 10) and 10 HP per caster level (Max 50 HP). Cold damage heals it instead of harming it, and it takes double damage from fire. While it is in existence, the square it is in is treated as difficult terrain. The target frozen takes 1 point of Cold damage each round. The spell ends when the duration is up or the ice block is destroyed.

Material Component: A few drops of water.

Focus: A piece of clear crystal.
